Heenat Salma has launched a new store at the Old Doha Port, extending its popular farm-to-city concept to the heart of Doha. The new location offers a curated experience featuring food, artisanal products, and interactive workshops.

Situated at Store 34, the outlet allows visitors to sample elements of the Heenat Salma Farm without traveling to its primary site. The space includes a café, a concept store, and a dedicated area for workshops.

Pallavi Mhardolkar, Head of Marketing at Heenat Salma, explained to Doha News that the initiative aims to increase accessibility to the farm's sustainable practices and offerings for urban dwellers. "As you are seeing, Heenat Salma Farm is a sustainable farm. So we had to bring the concept of farm to the city," she stated, elaborating on the motivation behind the new store. "That’s how the whole idea of farm to city came and that’s how Heenat Salma Old Doha Port store opens."

Mhardolkar described the new venue as a condensed version of the farm experience within an urban environment. "So you see a mini Heenat Salma Farm that is now back in the city," she remarked.

The café at the new location serves some of the farm's signature food items, including its well-loved breads and dairy products. "People love Heenat Salma’s food," Mhardolkar noted, adding, "People love our sago breads, our dairy products. So you can find those in the city now. It’s closer to you."

In addition to its culinary offerings, the store features a concept shop showcasing crafts and products originally found at Heenat Salma's main farm store. This expansion aims to bring the farm's retail experience closer to customers and introduce more people to its artisanal collection.

The venue also accommodates a workshop space, established in response to frequent requests for city-based activities. "A lot of times we get an enquiry from people that if they can be doing the workshops either at their home or in a space in the city," Mhardolkar said. "So now this is the space for them to do it."
