Foreign ministers representing Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia have expressed their categorical condemnation of Israel’s ongoing illegal settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory. The officials firmly rejected the E1 settlement plan and related activities located east of occupied East Jerusalem.

In a joint statement released on Friday, the ministers renewed their condemnation of settler violence and ongoing violations directed against Palestinians and their property, which they noted are backed by Israeli occupation authorities. They emphasized that these actions fail to diminish the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, constitute direct breaches of international law and relevant UN resolutions, and pose a severe threat to both regional and global peace.

The ministers warned that the E1 plan represents a dangerous escalation that advances settlement expansion and annexation. They stated that the project severs the territorial contiguity of the West Bank and East Jerusalem while threatening the viability of an independent Palestinian state established along 1967 lines. Furthermore, they stressed that these measures defy international peace efforts, including President Donald Trump’s comprehensive peace plan, which rejects annexation and forced displacement, and contradicts commitments against West Bank annexation.

Reaffirming the two-state solution based on international law and UN resolutions, the ministers called it the sole viable path to achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace. They warned that any moves undermining this framework will escalate tensions and jeopardize international stability. Additionally, the ministers voiced support for all accountability measures, such as international sanctions against individuals and entities tied to illegal settlement activities and annexation policies, and urged an immediate halt to all funding supporting settlement establishment or expansion.

Concluding their statement, the ministers called for immediate action to halt the E1 scheme, reverse associated measures, and end all actions altering the demographic and geographical character of occupied Palestinian land. They urged the UN Security Council and the broader international community to fulfill their legal obligations by stopping settlement expansion, protecting the Palestinian people, and upholding their right to self-determination and statehood.
