Strait of Hormuz Remains Closed Despite Oman Deal, Iran Says

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has announced that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed despite a temporary transit agreement with Oman. He insisted that Washington must return to its commitments under the memorandum of understanding before the waterway is fully opened.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that all mines have been cleared and detonated from the strait’s international waters. He also warned that Tehran has received notices that any ships laying new mines will be destroyed.
