Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that his country is deeply committed to achieving regional peace and stability through intensive and sustained diplomatic efforts with neighboring nations. He emphasized that recent consultations held by Tehran with officials from Pakistan and Oman centered on the urgent need to establish practical and sustainable regional solutions.

Writing on the X platform, Abbas Araghchi detailed that the new proposals involve creating a fresh shipping lane, carrying out joint mine-clearing operations, and formulating future arrangements to manage the Strait of Hormuz. He noted that these initiatives demonstrate a cooperative and practical approach to resolving navigation challenges in the vital waterway.

Furthermore, the Sultanate of Oman and Iran announced that their respective foreign ministers held discussions focused on resuming safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Both nations reviewed a phased framework designed to offer a practical and implementable response to the ongoing war and its severe humanitarian and security consequences.

A joint statement revealed that the proposed framework features a temporary, joint shipping corridor across the Strait of Hormuz to facilitate safe and orderly transit. Additionally, the plan outlines a joint project to clear the waterway of mines, ensuring it is secure for commercial shipping. These diplomatic steps align with broader regional initiatives aimed at mitigating the impacts of the war and guaranteeing freedom of navigation in one of the world's most critical strategic corridors.
