An Israeli Army air strike on Arab Salim in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district has resulted in the death of a Lebanese woman and left several others injured. According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, six individuals were wounded in Thursday's attacks, including a child, a woman, and two elderly people. The state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that the woman killed had been married for just 48 hours, and her home was completely destroyed in the assault.

Lebanese security sources confirmed that at least 10 Israeli strikes hit the wider Nabatieh area. Additionally, the NNA reported artillery shelling directed at the outskirts of the town of Rashaf in the Bint Bint Jbeil district.

The Israeli military stated that the operations targeted Hezbollah weapon storage facilities in retaliation for overnight strikes by the Iran-backed group against Israeli soldiers in the south. Al Jazeera reporter Zeina Khodr, broadcasting from Beirut, noted that the strike hit a residential area in Arab Salim. She explained that the Israeli army claims the offensive targets infrastructure in response to Hezbollah launching armed drones at forces stationed on the Ali al-Taher ridge.

According to Israel, two explosive drones were launched toward soldiers operating on the Ali al-Taher ridge, though no casualties were reported from that incident. Israel has intensified its military pressure and air strikes in south Lebanon following a series of raids that Lebanese authorities say have heightened tensions amid the ongoing regional conflict.
