Civil Aviation Minister Sameh al-Hefny has affirmed Egypt’s readiness to support Venezuelan airlines, in accordance with applicable regulations, to facilitate their operations and expand air services between the two nations, which will boost travel, tourism, and trade.
During a meeting with Venezuelan Ambassador in Cairo Wilmer Omar Barrientos, both sides discussed cooperation in civil aviation alongside the latest developments regarding a draft air transport agreement between Egypt and Venezuela. This agreement is anticipated to establish a regulatory framework designed to support air traffic growth and strengthen air connectivity.
Barrientos stated that Venezuela intends to promote tourism and deepen its ties with Middle East countries, while emphasizing the significance of expanding air transport links with Egypt to open new avenues for cooperation.
