Palestinian mourners carried the body of a person killed by the Israeli army during a funeral at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza Strip, on Saturday. Several individuals were wounded in an Israeli strike targeting a medical warehouse inside a hospital compound in central Gaza, while separate attacks claimed the lives of two people elsewhere in the Strip.

The Israeli drone strike hit a tent functioning as a medical supply warehouse within the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital complex in Deir el-Balah on Saturday, injuring three people, according to the hospital's director. The Israeli military confirmed it struck a target inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital compound, alleging without evidence that a Hamas commander was targeted.

In a separate incident, another Israeli drone struck a bicycle in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood. The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that at least one person was killed and two others were injured in that attack, with casualties transported to al-Quds Field Hospital. Earlier in the day, another person was killed by Israeli gunfire in the village of al-Musaddar, located east of Deir el-Balah. Additionally, an Israeli quadcopter dropped an explosive device near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, hospital officials reported.

Israel has intensified its military operations across the Gaza Strip in recent days despite the ongoing ceasefire. Gaza’s Health Ministry stated it received 10 bodies over the previous 48 hours—comprising nine newly killed individuals and one recovered from beneath rubble—along with 18 wounded. The ministry noted that additional victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings or on roads inaccessible to ambulance and civil defence crews.

Since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect in October last year, the ministry reported that 1,313 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Centre for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared Persons stated on Saturday that between 4,000 and 5,000 Palestinians remain missing and are presumed to be under rubble in Gaza. The organisation added that between 2,500 and 3,000 people may have experienced forced disappearance in Gaza during Israel's military campaign, based on an analytical study of 317 cases indicating a potential broader pattern of enforced disappearances.

Of the 317 examined cases, 302—or 95.27 percent—were male, and 15 were female, including 41 children and 17 individuals aged 60 or older. Since the onset of the war in October 2023, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 174,000 injured in Gaza, with women and children making up the majority of the casualties.
