Official tallies released by Nepal and China on Sunday confirm that the death toll from the catastrophic flooding has reached 750 people, with over 3,000 individuals still unaccounted for.
According to Nepal’s disaster agency, the death toll within the country has risen to 734, increasing from a previous total of 670. At least 2,498 people remain missing across Nepal, a figure that includes 589 foreign nationals.
Earlier on Sunday, authorities in China confirmed that at least 16 people have died in the Tibet region, while 546 individuals are still missing. Among the missing in China are at least 261 foreigners, which includes 18 Americans.
