Iran Conditions Strait of Hormuz Transit Understanding With Oman on US Commitments

An Iranian Foreign Ministry official stated on Sunday that Tehran has reached a mutual understanding with Oman regarding transit arrangements through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the official emphasized that these arrangements will remain unimplemented until the US fulfills its commitments.

The official further noted that Iran is in no rush to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the waterway remains closed and that no vessels are permitted to pass without direct coordination with Iranian authorities.
