Three suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution following a joint operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department and the Ministry of Public Health.
Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) arrested three European nationals for performing medical and cosmetic procedures without a licence at an unauthorized facility.
According to an official statement, the Criminal Investigation Department collaborated with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to launch an investigation after receiving intelligence regarding the illicit operation. Authorities secured the necessary approval from the Public Prosecution before apprehending the suspects during the activity. The individuals subsequently admitted to the allegations.
A search and seizure operation at the site uncovered various equipment and medical supplies utilized in the procedures. Both the suspects and the confiscated items have been transferred to the Public Prosecution to complete legal proceedings.
These arrests form part of a broader nationwide inspection campaign by the Ministry of Public Health aimed at eliminating unauthorized healthcare practices and enforcing sector regulations. Previously, in January 2026, authorities apprehended five unlicensed individuals practicing specialized cosmetic medical activities in a beauty salon. In March 2025, the ministry also announced the closure of seven private health units and centers due to regulatory violations.
Both the MOI and MOPH have cautioned the public against trusting advertisements for medical or cosmetic treatments without verifying that the clinic and its staff hold valid licenses.
