Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Spanish Firm Explore Major Renewable Energy and Automotive Investments in Egypt

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a strategic meeting with Gonvarri Industries Chairman and CEO Jon Riberas to evaluate the Spanish company's prospective investments in Egypt. The discussions placed a strong focus on opportunities within automotive components, renewable energy, metal structures, and logistics.

During the talks, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized Egypt's strategic roadmap for scaling up renewable energy initiatives, particularly solar and wind power. He further underscored the nation's competitive advantage as an ideal regional manufacturing and export hub designed to serve both Middle Eastern and African markets.

The high-level dialogue also addressed the potential establishment of a major manufacturing facility by Gonvarri Industries in Egypt dedicated to automotive parts, alongside prospective collaborations with local investors. Operating as a specialist in steel and aluminum processing, the company confirmed it is currently analyzing various investment models, recognizing Egypt as a vital core market and a promising regional base of operations.

Concluding the session, both delegations committed to advancing their dialogue, with the Egyptian government setting a target to establish a finalized investment framework in the upcoming weeks.
