Qatar’s Cabinet has strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait, labeling the actions as a flagrant violation of national sovereignty, international law, the UN Charter and good neighbourliness.
During its weekly meeting at the Amiri Diwan chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Cabinet expressed full solidarity with the four targeted nations. Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Mohannadi noted that the Cabinet urged an immediate halt to all military actions and a return to dialogue.
Shifting to domestic legislation, the Cabinet approved a draft law on cloud computing to regulate digital data storage, enhance cybersecurity, and support Qatar’s digital transformation. It also approved a new draft law regulating competition to replace Law No. 19 of 2006, aimed at curbing monopolistic practices and boosting market efficiency in alignment with the Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030.
Additionally, the ministers reviewed family cohesion initiatives, approved a Letter of Intent with Spain regarding FIFA World Cup 2030 security, and endorsed cooperation agreements with Germany, North Macedonia, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
