Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received a phone call on Friday, August 14, 2026, from Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos to discuss advancing bilateral relations and ongoing coordination.

During the conversation, both ministers commended the strengthening momentum in Egypt-Cyprus relations, highlighting continuous consultation and a mutual dedication to expanding cooperation into broader economic, investment, and energy sectors.

Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of fulfilling signed agreements and memoranda of understanding to turn political ties into concrete joint projects, including the expedited implementation of the agreement regarding Egyptian workers in Cyprus.
