Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Sunday, September 6, 2026, officially inaugurated the first phase of the Designy Doors factory at the Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, affiliated with the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE). The facility specializes in manufacturing wooden and WPC doors, finishing products, floor accessories, and wood-alternative wall cladding.

The newly launched first phase spans 15,000 square meters of production facilities with investments totaling $12 million. Upon completion, the entire project will cover 35,000 square meters, representing a total investment of $20 million while creating approximately 250 jobs.

Project projections estimate an annual output of 120,000 wooden doors, 168,000 WPC doors, and 4 million linear meters of accessories and finishing products. While the output aims to satisfy domestic market demands, a portion of the production is designated for export to boost foreign trade and decrease import dependence.

During the event, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized that the state actively supports investments utilizing modern manufacturing technologies capable of delivering competitive goods. He noted that industrial ventures in the building materials and finishing sector are experiencing high growth driven by nationwide urban development projects.

SCZONE Chairman Mostafa Shikhon highlighted that the project demonstrates a successful evolution from manufacturing expertise into an advanced production base. He added that the facility enriches real estate development and construction sectors by integrating modern technology and design.

Accompanied by officials, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured the production lines, observing wood and plastic sections, preparation, cutting, pressing, assembly, and packaging. Factory Chairman Abdo Eid, along with company representatives Ahmed Ibrahim and Ahmed Abdo, reiterated the project's scope, investment targets, and production metrics.
