Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed that expanding the localization of healthcare-related industries is key to strengthening local production capacity and meeting the healthcare sector’s needs for essential equipment and supplies. He highlighted that the diversity of such projects, ranging from the outfitting of medical vehicles to the assembly of dental equipment, reflects growing investment opportunities in specialized industries and enhances the Egyptian market’s ability to fulfill its medical product needs domestically.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly made these remarks during his visit on Sunday, September 6, 2026, accompanied by several officials, to inaugurate two factories operated by Technovision for Industry and Trade within Orascom Industrial Parks. The facilities specialize in outfitting ambulances, mobile clinics, and blood banks, as well as assembling dental machines and equipment. The inauguration took place as part of a tour of the Sokhna Industrial Zone, affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), where he was received by Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and various company representatives.

SCZONE Chairman Mostafa Shaikhon stated that the projects by Technovision represent a vital model of specialized manufacturing tied directly to critical sector needs. He noted that the ambulance outfitting initiative expands local manufacturing capacity for specialized medical vehicles, while the dental equipment assembly introduces a new industrial activity driven by international partnerships and knowledge transfer. These collaborations feature German expertise in medical vehicle outfitting and Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in dental equipment, supporting SCZONE’s broader strategy to attract high-impact projects.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first facility, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and his delegation inspected ambulance equipment samples and received a briefing from Technovision Chairman Mohamed Khalaf. Khalaf explained that the facility focuses on the rear compartments of ambulances, mobile clinics, and blood banks, supported by a $10 million investment across 1,500 square meters. The plant operates with a capacity of up to 50 ambulances per month, totaling 600 annually, and employs around 60 workers under the supervision of the German company WAS.

The delegation then inaugurated the second factory, dedicated to assembling dental machines, chairs, and related equipment. Technovision Chairman Mohamed Khalaf noted that this second facility involves $6 million in investments, covers 1,000 square meters, and can produce up to 100 dental chairs monthly, or 1,200 annually, with a workforce of about 60 employees. Operating through an Egyptian-Chinese partnership with Runyes, the facility plans future expansions on a neighboring 5,000-square-meter plot.
