Algeria has officially decided to cut diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates, citing a series of what it termed 'provocative or hostile' actions by Abu Dhabi despite facing 'repeated warnings'.
Speaking on Thursday, Algeria’s foreign ministry declared that the UAE’s behavior had crossed the line into unacceptability, adding that the nation had 'exhausted all means of preserving bilateral relations.'
Authorities confirmed that the Emirati ambassador was summoned to the ministry to be formally notified of the decision and instructed to leave within 48 hours. As of yet, there has been no immediate response or comment from the UAE.
Tensions between Algiers and Abu Dhabi have steadily escalated in recent years, driven by conflicting stances on multiple regional issues. Updates will follow as the story develops.
