Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai has announced plans for a significant Dh420 million ($114 million) expansion aimed at bringing specialised medical services directly to communities in the southern part of the emirate.
According to state news agency Wam, the ambitious project will bolster the facility's capabilities across vital medical fields, including oncology, paediatrics, musculoskeletal care, and sports medicine.
Key developments of the expansion include the creation of a dedicated paediatric urgent care unit designed to offer specialized treatment for infants and children locally. Additionally, new oncology facilities are planned to support future advancements in cancer care.
The project will also introduce new day-surgery theatres and day-care suites, alongside expanded physiotherapy and rehabilitation services. Advanced automation and smart technology will be integrated to enhance patient safety, streamline service integration, and boost overall operational efficiency.
Construction on the project is slated to begin soon, with a targeted completion date set for 2027.
Dr Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, director general of Dubai Health Authority, noted that the investment highlights the emirate's ongoing evolution toward more specialized and integrated healthcare solutions. He emphasized the vital role of the private healthcare sector as a strategic partner in advancing Dubai's medical infrastructure.
