The UAE has dispatched a convoy of 67 lorries transporting 683 tonnes of aid to provide essential relief to Palestinian communities in Gaza.

Prepared through the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, the relief packages consisting of shelter supplies and food were delivered as part of the Emirates' Operation Gallant Knight 3.

Since the initiation of Operation Gallant Knight 3 following the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, the UAE has maintained a leading role in delivering humanitarian assistance.

Earlier this month, the initiative marked 1,000 days of continuous support, having delivered more than Dh14.2 billion ($3.89 billion) in aid.

This funding has facilitated the establishment of a floating hospital in Egypt and two medical centres in Gaza, while also evacuating thousands of patients—including cancer sufferers and individuals with war-related injuries—to the Emirates for medical care.

State news agency Wam reported that these ongoing efforts highlight the UAE’s sustained humanitarian mission to reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people and demonstrate the nation's commitment to humanitarian solidarity.

Furthermore, the UAE's Step of Hope programme, launched in June to support civilians who lost limbs during the conflict, has provided prosthetic limbs for 72 Palestinian amputees.
