The Ministry of Labor in Egypt is preparing to launch a comprehensive new system for issuing work permits to foreigners, utilizing a fully integrated digital platform and a dedicated service center. This initiative is a core component of the ministry’s broader strategy to modernize its foreign work permit services and transition toward a completely digital operational model.

Recently, Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad hosted a delegation from the Tarabot Government Services Company, led by Mohamed Abdel-Dayem, to review the final preparations and implementation steps for the upcoming launch. During their discussions, both parties evaluated the project's current status, the outfitting of the new service center, and the foundational digital infrastructure required to deploy state-of-the-art electronic systems that promise a more efficient experience for users.

The newly developed system features a unified electronic platform designed to oversee the complete lifecycle of a foreign work permit. This encompasses every stage, from initial company registration and accreditation to review, approval, final permit issuance, and public verification. By consolidating these steps into a single electronic framework, the system ensures seamless integration across all phases of the service.

Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad noted that the rollout aligns with the ministry's goal of accelerating digital transformation and enhancing government services tailored for investors, business owners, and foreign nationals. The platform is designed to minimize the time and effort traditionally required to complete administrative procedures by streamlining service pathways and establishing direct electronic links with pertinent ministries and authorities.

Furthermore, the ministry aims to deliver swift, high-quality services that cater to investor demands, thereby fortifying the national investment climate and reinforcing digital governance. Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad emphasized that expediting these procedures while maintaining strict accuracy and compliance with legal regulations remains paramount. He also highlighted the necessity of completing electronic integration with all related government entities to facilitate smooth data flow, eliminate operational redundancies, and maintain transparency.

During the meeting, the delegation from the Tarabot Government Services Company outlined the advancements made in building the system, setting up the service infrastructure, and detailing the implementation schedule for the electronic platform ahead of its official debut.
