UAE Pledges $10 Million to Support Haiti Amid Escalating Humanitarian Crisis

The UAE has announced a $10 million humanitarian assistance package for Haiti, responding to a worsening crisis that has forced more than 1.5 million people to flee their homes due to political instability and gang violence.

Distributed through the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the aid package includes urgent food supplies and temporary shelter for the most vulnerable populations. Additionally, the assistance programme will support critical health services, as well as water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives.

International data indicates that approximately half of the displaced individuals are children, with millions currently facing food insecurity amid the deterioration of essential services. To ensure resources reach those most in need, the relief programme will be executed in cooperation with UAE missions abroad, international organisations, and humanitarian entities, with aid workers actively identifying primary operational needs.
