The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts hot and humid daytime conditions on Monday across the northern regions and Greater Cairo, with intensely hot weather gripping South Sinai and the south of the country. Daylight felt temperatures are projected to climb as high as 46C in the southern regions. Meanwhile, nighttime and early morning temperatures will remain moderate across the majority of the country.

Weather maps indicate that low-level clouds are likely to form over scattered parts of the North Coast, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities, potentially bringing light and inconsequential drizzle to select areas. Additionally, there are intermittent chances for very light rain in parts of Halayeb and Shalateen, as well as areas south of Aswan.

Satellite data highlights intermittent wind activity across Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and the Red Sea Governorate, which may help moderate evening temperatures in certain locations. The EMA has issued warnings regarding the anticipated weather impacts, advising citizens to stay informed through its latest updates and to take necessary precautions.

  • Greater Cairo: 35C (Felt 37C)
  • Northwestern Coasts: 31C (Felt 34C)

  • Lower Egypt: 34C (Felt 36C)
