Defense Minister Oversees Key Phase of Strategic Command-Post Exercise

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher observed the main phase of the strategic command-post exercise via videoconference within the area of responsibility of the Third Field Army.

The multi-day exercise formed part of the combat training plan for formations and units of the Armed Forces. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with commanders of the main branches, field armies, and military zones.

During the main phase, participants presented a summary of the operational concept and decisions taken during the management of the exercise. Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher conveyed the greetings of Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to the participating personnel and evaluated their decision-making processes under changing circumstances.

Praising the forces for their combat proficiency and coordination, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher urged them to maintain high levels of readiness. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa attended a separate phase of the exercise, reviewing reports, cooperation procedures, and the operational planning approaches of the participants.
