The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has announced that intense heat will dominate most of the country on Thursday, with the northern coasts enduring hot and humid weather. Nighttime conditions are expected to remain moderate to warm and humid across the nation.
In Greater Cairo, temperatures are projected to reach a high of 37C with a real-feel of 39C, while the real-feel temperature in South Upper Egypt is forecasted to climb as high as 46C. Meanwhile, morning fog is anticipated on various roads connecting to and from the north of the country, extending toward Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, occasionally becoming dense.
Forecasters also indicate possibilities of light to moderate, sometimes thundery, rainfall over regions of the northwestern coasts and the northern Nile Delta at intermittent intervals, alongside a minimal chance of light rain in Halayeb, Shalateen, and south of Aswan. Gusty winds are expected across most regions, potentially raising sand and dust over parts of the Western Desert, North Upper Egypt, and open areas of the western coasts, Greater Cairo, and the Nile Delta intermittently.
Marine conditions on the Mediterranean Sea will remain moderate, featuring wave heights from 1.5 to two meters and northwesterly surface winds. Similarly, the Red Sea will experience moderate conditions with wave heights between 1.5 and two meters and northwesterly surface winds.
