During the Washington D.C. Forum, Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al-Ansari, Advisor to Qatar’s Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), highlighted the necessity of strengthening ties and expanding bilateral cooperation between Qatar and the United States.
Organised by Concordia in partnership with the Embassy of Qatar in the United States, the one-day event served as a platform to discuss the strategic partnership between the two nations alongside critical regional and international developments. In a statement released by MoFA, Dr. Al-Ansari noted that continued collaboration directly serves mutual interests and supports regional as well as international security and stability.
Reflecting on the discussions in a post on X, Dr. Al-Ansari described the gathering as a valuable opportunity to evaluate the enduring partnership and reconnect with peers. He participated in the forum alongside U.S. Under Secretary of State Sarah B. Rogers and Matthew Swift, co-founder, president and CEO of Concordia.
Concordia, a U.S.-based non-partisan organisation uniting leaders across government, business, and civil society, designed the Washington, D.C. Forum as a hub for high-level dialogue regarding geopolitical, economic, and security challenges. The event preceded the UN General Assembly’s high-level week and Concordia’s Annual Summit in New York, scheduled from September 20 to 23, where a Qatari delegation is expected to participate.
