Abu Dhabi's Executive Council has deployed an agentic artificial intelligence platform for the first time to support government decision-making at its highest level. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired the meeting, utilizing the AI Committee System to analyse proposals, generate executive summaries, and deliver real-time insights.
The platform ensures complete traceability of all outputs and decisions back to their source documents. During the session, Sheikh Khaled approved the second five-year phase of the Abu Dhabi Liveability Strategy. The initial phase successfully completed over 60 major projects valued exceeding Dh12 billion as part of a broader Dh42 billion ($11.44 billion) programme, raising the emirate's District Completion Index from 67 per cent to 84 per cent over two years. The upcoming phase will transition focus toward operational quality and data-driven planning.
Furthermore, Sheikh Khaled approved a substantial expansion of the Al Ghad Nurseries project, which currently serves 3,253 children across 10 facilities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Capacity is set to reach 12,000 places by 2029 across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, generating over 1,000 employment opportunities for Emirati women. Additionally, a new Abu Dhabi Programme for the Future of Reproductive Health was endorsed under the supervision of the Department of Health, aiming for an 80 per cent IVF success rate by 2030 through advanced technologies.
The council also evaluated the integration of artificial intelligence education into private school curriculums from kindergarten through Grade 12. This milestone builds upon the broader UAE vision, where Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid previously announced that half of government services will utilize cutting-edge AI agents within two years, supported by officials such as Omar Al Olama and institutions like the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
