Tehran’s chief negotiator and parliament speaker asserted that the United States and Israel have "failed to achieve" any of the goals established at the beginning of their conflict with Iran.
"This was the greatest absolute defeat," Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated Sunday, according to reports from Iran’s SNN TV.
Ghalibaf maintained that Iran has secured victory by frustrating these objectives. "I say with all my heart that we have truly won this war," he remarked.
While he did not explicitly detail which targets the US and Israel fell short of accomplishing, previous objectives outlined by the Trump administration involved total Iranian surrender, regime change, preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, and halting Tehran’s backing of Middle East proxy groups such as Hezbollah.
