Emirates Group's dnata remains optimistic about its profit outlook, noting that its extensive global operations help cushion the company against disruptions caused by the Iran war. The airport and travel services company, which operates across 37 countries and 140 cities, is actively pursuing growth in emerging markets, securing new contracts, and benefiting from a rebound in travel bookings.

Nabil Sultan Al Murr, dnata's chief executive, told The National that the company's primary strength lies in its diversification. With nearly 70 per cent of its business operating globally, dnata has the flexibility to shift focus and activate other markets if a specific region faces difficulties.

Despite challenges earlier in the year—including a 30 to 35 per cent drop in inbound leisure travel bookings in April driven by the Iran war—demand has started to show signs of recovery. Corporate travel bookings began improving in August and September, and travel demand for the fourth quarter of 2026 is projected to be promising, aided by European carriers like Lufthansa planning winter flight resumptions to Dubai.

Looking ahead, dnata is leveraging its international footprint to win new contracts worldwide, expanding services to airports in the US and Brazil, and entering into a joint venture with Azerbaijan’s Silk Way Group. Mr Al Murr emphasized that the company has maintained its workforce throughout the conflict and is preparing for further expansion into emerging markets across Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and India.
