Dubai Police have issued a warning to the public regarding fake websites and social media accounts promoting fraudulent packages for the upcoming season of Global Village in Dubai.

This alert coincides with the release of VIP packages for Global Village's 31st season, which will be offered in stages exclusively through the Coca-Cola Arena website. Advanced sales are scheduled from September 21 to 25 for an additional fee, followed by a general sale beginning on September 26.

Global Village is set to officially reopen at 6pm on Wednesday, October 14, and will run until May 2027. Dubai Police explained that fraudsters often try to exploit the excitement surrounding Global Village activities and packages to steal money and personal information.

Scammers frequently create or clone websites and social media accounts to mimic official pages, tricking individuals into using unauthorized platforms. Victims risk being directed to complete fraudulent purchases or disclose sensitive personal data.

The force advised the public to remain cautious of deals that appear too good to be true, such as unusually low prices. Tickets and packages should be purchased exclusively through official and authorised channels, while links and accounts from unknown sources must be avoided.

Authorities emphasized that verifying the source of an offer can protect against financial losses and safeguard personal information. The public is also encouraged to report suspected scams, suspicious accounts, and fraudulent links through the ecrime platform or by calling 901.
