Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a high-level meeting in Cairo on Sunday with CIA Director John Ratcliffe and General Intelligence Service Chief Hassan Rashad to address pressing security coordination and major crises across the Middle East and Africa.

During the discussions, CIA Director John Ratcliffe delivered greetings from US President Donald Trump and commended Egypt for its crucial diplomatic efforts, as well as the robust intelligence and counter-terrorism partnership shared by the CIA and Egyptian authorities.

Addressing the ongoing crisis, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi called for the complete execution of the second phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to solidify the Gaza ceasefire, ensure consistent humanitarian aid distribution, and establish a foundation for a just two-state solution.

The talks also encompassed strategies to achieve a comprehensive settlement for the Iranian crisis, protect international maritime navigation, and bring back regional stability.

Regarding Sudan, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's steadfast backing for Sudan’s territorial integrity, national unity, and state institutions, emphasizing Cairo's ongoing diplomatic initiatives to halt the conflict.

Furthermore, on the Horn of Africa, the Egyptian President reiterated his country's firm opposition to any violations against Somalia’s sovereignty or territorial integrity.
