Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man near the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank after he allegedly attempted to carry out a vehicular attack near an illegal settlement.

An army spokesperson stated on Sunday that the incident occurred near the illegal settlement of Ganim, east of the Palestinian city of Jenin, adding that no casualties were reported among Israeli forces. According to the Wafa news agency, the Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that Israeli forces blocked their medical team from accessing the victim.

In a separate event, an Israeli settler died from gunshot wounds following an attack near the illegal settlement of Halamish in the central West Bank. Police confirmed that the 30-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. The military reported that the suspect fired from a vehicle before fleeing on foot, and was later apprehended at a hospital seeking medical treatment for injuries sustained while escaping.

Following the shooting, Wafa reported that Israeli forces sealed off all entry and exit points to Ramallah and el-Bireh cities.
