Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company has confirmed Fount Trust as its ultimate parent above Royal Group Holding LLC following an earlier ownership restructure, establishing a long-term framework for one of the Middle East’s largest investment companies.

The company stated on Monday that the restructuring does not alter International Holding Company’s ultimate beneficial ownership, operations, strategy, or business activities, and Royal Group continues to exist and operate. Under the new framework, Pal Group of Companies remains the majority shareholder of International Holding Company, while Royal Group remains the majority shareholder of Pal Group. Fount Trust now sits above Royal Group as the ultimate parent.

While the change alters the legal ownership structure above Royal Group, it does not alter the individuals who ultimately own or control International Holding Company, according to the company, which did not identify the ultimate beneficial owner. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed remains chairman of International Holding Company, serving as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser.

The transition creates a long-term ownership framework designed to ensure generational continuity without altering ultimate business control. Syed Shueb, chief executive of International Holding Company, stated that the institution is responsible for building value across generations through clear responsibilities and an enduring ownership framework.

Founded in 2025, Fount Trust has previously appeared in financial disclosures across the wider International Holding Company group. Companies such as Two Point Zero Group, Palms Sports, and Emirates Stallions Group have previously identified Fount Trust as their ultimate parent in financial statements.

International Holding Company emphasized that the restructure aims to support patient investment and durable partnerships while maintaining alignment of ownership interests. The company boasts a market capitalisation of approximately Dh840 billion ($229 billion) and more than 1,300 subsidiaries across technology, infrastructure, financial services, and consumer sectors, operating under the continued governance of its board and executive team while remaining subject to Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange requirements.
