Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad emphasized on Monday, September 21, 2026, the vital need to ramp up the efforts of Egypt’s labor representation office in Lebanon. The focus remains on safeguarding Egyptian workers, monitoring their living and working conditions, and championing their interests, alongside fostering deeper cooperation between the two nations in labor affairs, employment, and vocational training.

Raddad shared these insights during a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador-designate to Lebanon Tamim Khalaf, as the ambassador prepares to take on his new responsibilities. Their discussions centered on improving collaboration and coordination concerning labor-related matters.

The talks also reviewed the status of Egyptian workers in Lebanon, strategies to improve their support systems, and bilateral cooperation regarding labor mobility. Both sides explored ways to share expertise in vocational training, employment, and occupational safety and health.

Additionally, the officials discussed accelerating the implementation of electronic connectivity between Egypt and Lebanon within the labor sector. This digital link aims to streamline labor mobility, facilitate data and information exchange, and reinforce institutional cooperation between the two governments.
