United States President Donald Trump praised Qatar's contributions to relief efforts during the General Debate of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, pushing back against recent criticism regarding the humanitarian funding.

Trump stated that Qatar ensures its aid under the Gaza peace plan goes directly to the right sources and to those who desperately need it. He thanked Qatar and other member states for billions of dollars in relief and reconstruction support for Palestinians in Gaza.

This public endorsement follows reports from Israeli media and The New Yorker alleging irregularities in Qatar's aid distribution. Qatar’s International Media Office (IMO) strongly condemned these claims as fabricated documents pushed by Israeli far-right figures to deflect from domestic political crises ahead of elections.

The Qatari government reiterated that it has never funded Hamas, noting that all humanitarian relief—including cash assistance for families, fuel, and medical supplies—was managed through United Nations agencies with the knowledge and coordination of successive Israeli administrations and security agencies.
