Yahya Rahim Safavi, the military adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a warning on Thursday regarding the potential renewal of war against Iran. He threatened to expand the conflict’s geographical reach "as far as the the Indian ocean."

In a video broadcast by the Fars News Agency, Safavi stated that their armed forces are planning intelligently and possess the necessary combat readiness to confront the enemy in worst-case scenarios. He warned that if the United States and Israel attack their facilities and national interests again, the war front will expand further.

Safavi noted that the conflict could broaden from the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, and potentially reach as far as the Indian Ocean or beyond. He also highlighted tactical leverage involving territorial waters, the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, and Bab al-Mandab.

Discussing alliances, Safavi stated that Iran and the Yemenis share a common destiny, noting that Ansar Allah, also known as the Huthis, have made advancements in arms manufacturing. Furthermore, he reaffirmed that Iran will maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, mentioning discussions with Oman that he alleged the US is obstructing.

Concluding his remarks, Safavi stated that if Washington implements seven proposed conditions, Iranian officials might reconsider ship transit mechanisms, emphasizing that Iran is fully prepared for a comprehensive defense if war is forced upon them.
