Qatar has issued a categorical rejection of allegations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his address to the United Nations General Assembly. Netanyahu claimed that Doha was running a campaign to influence global public opinion against Israel, but Qatari officials dismissed the accusations as an effort to deflect attention from ongoing conflicts.

Dr Majed Al Ansari, Advisor to Qatar's Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the rhetoric against Qatar serves to distract from actions in the occupied Palestinian territories and their humanitarian consequences. Al Ansari also rejected the notion that the global shift in public opinion, particularly among younger demographics, is the result of an influence campaign.

During the UNGA session, Netanyahu accused Qatar of spending massive amounts to spread misinformation, overlooking Qatar's position as a mediator between Israel and Hamas. Meanwhile, the Qatari delegation seats remained empty during the speech, and numerous other delegations walked out in protest as Netanyahu took the podium.

Al Ansari criticized Netanyahu's standing internationally, pointing out that Israeli politicians frequently address empty halls. He suggested that changing international perception requires altering policies and respecting international law rather than blaming external actors for domestic political calculations ahead of upcoming Israeli elections.
