Etihad Rail Launches Ticket Bookings for New Routes Connecting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah

Etihad Rail officially opened ticket bookings on Monday for its new Dubai service connecting to and from Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, ahead of the official launch on Wednesday, September 30. The online ticketing system briefly opened on September 22 for passengers traveling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi before bookings were temporarily paused later that same day.

The Dubai-Abu Dhabi service connects Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Gold Estates with Mohamed Bin Zayed Station in Abu Dhabi. Tickets are priced at Dh39 for Comfort and Dh109 for Premium, with the journey estimated to last approximately 1 hour and 4 minutes.

For the September opening, passengers can choose from two morning departures at 6.14am and 7.14am. In the afternoon, two trains leave Al Yalayis Station at 1.14pm and 5.14pm, while the final train departs at 6.14pm toward Abu Dhabi.

In addition to the highly anticipated Dubai-Abu Dhabi route, Etihad Rail has introduced booking options originating from Fujairah Station. The trip from the Madinat Al Hilal area to Dubai takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, with fares starting at Dh29 for Comfort and Dh89 for Premium class.

Meanwhile, ticket bookings for train services from Sharjah's Al Daid station, which is also scheduled to welcome passengers starting Wednesday, are not yet available. This follows the historic journey of Etihad Rail's first passenger train from Fujairah to Abu Dhabi on June 30, marking the dawn of a new era for public transportation across the Emirates after setting off from Fujairah's Al Hilal City at 5.34am on Tuesday.
