Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized that the Foreign Ministry regards top-performing students as a vital national asset and an essential foundation for shaping Egypt's future and driving its development goals.
Badr Abdelatty shared these remarks during a gathering with Egypt’s highest-scoring high school graduates from various governorates, hosted in collaboration with Al Gomhuria newspaper. The event formed part of the Foreign Ministry's ongoing initiative to connect with exceptional students and brief them on Egypt's regional and international standing ahead of their journey on Al Gomhuria’s annual international educational tour for top graduates.
Key officials present at the meeting included National Press Authority Chairman Abdel Sadek El-Shorbagy, Dar Al Tahrir for Printing and Publishing Chairman Tareq Lotfy, and Al Gomhuria Editor-in-Chief Ahmed Ayyoub.
Opening the session, Badr Abdelatty congratulated the scholars on their remarkable academic achievements, highlighting that true distinction goes beyond grades to include lifelong learning, critical thinking, and the practical application of knowledge for the benefit of the country. He also acknowledged Al Gomhuria’s enduring historical contributions, fondly recalling his own experience participating in the publication's educational journey in 1983 as a top-ranking high school graduate.
Addressing foreign policy, Badr Abdelatty explained how Egyptian diplomacy directly impacts citizens' daily lives by fostering economic growth, securing investments, and opening new international markets to support the national economy and expand horizons for upcoming generations. He also pointed to the broad national development achieved across sectors over the past ten years under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, creating stronger foundations and new opportunities for the youth.
Furthermore, Badr Abdelatty outlined the core pillars of Egypt's foreign policy, emphasizing strategic balance, independent national decision-making, diversified partnerships, and comprehensive national security upheld through diplomacy, mediation, and dialogue.
