Aldar, the leading listed developer in Abu Dhabi, has joined forces with Sharjah-based Arada for a series of new projects located on Yas Island and at Seih Sdeirah in Abu Dhabi. The agreement carries a combined value of approximately Dh15 billion, which translates to $4 billion.
This strategic collaboration features a masterplan joint venture between Aldar and Arada aimed at building a large-scale mixed-use community at Seih Sdeirah, situated on the border between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additionally, the partnership includes Arada acquiring three residential development plots on Yas Island, marking Arada's official entry into the Abu Dhabi property market as the company continues its expansion across the UAE.
Reflecting on the agreement, Talal Al Dhiyebi, group chief executive of Aldar, stated that the opportunities presented on Yas Island and at Seih Sdeirah create a robust foundation for cooperation with Arada, noting significant potential for future collaboration across various sectors and geographies within the UAE.
At Seih Sdeirah, Aldar and Arada will jointly develop a mixed-use community spanning up to 1.5 million square meters of land. The project will incorporate villas, townhouses, retail spaces, and recreational amenities. Arada is set to direct development and construction management, while both Aldar and Arada will share responsibilities for branding and selling the community.
Meanwhile, on Yas Island, Arada has successfully secured three plots—including two distinct canal-facing sites—spanning a combined plot area exceeding 27,500 square meters.
