Al Zahra Hospital Dubai has rolled out a new paid parking system for patients and visitors, which is set to become fully operational on October 15. Managed by the private company Parkonic, the smart system requires individuals to validate their vehicles prior to departing the facility.

Under the new rules, parking durations and fees vary depending on the nature of the visit. Outpatients are granted up to four hours of free parking, while those visiting the emergency department receive up to six hours of free parking. Furthermore, admitted patients can park free of charge throughout the entire duration of their stay.

According to information released by Al Zahra Hospital, Parkonic will apply a fee of Dh10 per hour for any time exceeding the free limits. Visitors and motorists who fail to validate their vehicles will face a charge of Dh50 per hour, with all fees automatically deducted from the Salik account linked to the vehicle.

Starting October 15, patients must complete validation before leaving. Outpatients will receive an SMS containing a validation link upon check-in, which remains active for up to four hours.

This rollout at Al Zahra Hospital reflects the broader expansion of smart and paid parking management across Dubai's healthcare sector. A similar system was introduced by Parkin and Dubai Health at Rashid Hospital on September 21, where patients continue to enjoy free parking for visits, emergencies, consultations, and laboratory appointments. Rashid Hospital also offers up to three hours of free daily parking for visitors who provide patient details at reception, alongside extended free parking for companions of admitted patients, as well as specialized accommodations for People of Determination, senior citizens, and pregnant women.

Authorities emphasize that the implementation of these smart parking systems aims to alleviate congestion, optimize the utilization of parking spaces, and enhance overall convenience for visitors arriving at healthcare facilities.
