Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has firmly denied circulating rumors regarding an increase in gasoline prices, asserting that the reports are completely baseless.

In an official statement issued on Sunday, the ministry reiterated its categorical denial of information circulating online concerning changes to petroleum product rates. The prices currently being promoted as new implementation rates are entirely incorrect and do not stem from any official decision, the statement stressed.

Furthermore, the ministry clarified that the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products has not yet convened to determine new rates. It emphasized that official announcements regarding petroleum product prices are exclusively communicated through the ministry’s official channels, rendering any figures or details from unofficial sources invalid.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources confirmed that current petroleum product prices remain official and unchanged.
