Announced during IAA UNITE in London, the International Advertising Association (IAA) has officially launched its Qatar Chapter. This major milestone is designed to enhance Qatar's standing on the global advertising map and cement its role as a key regional center for innovation, creativity, and strategic partnerships.

Led by Mohammed Jassim Mohamed Ibrahim Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group, the new entity becomes the fifth IAA chapter in the Middle East. Originally founded in New York City in 1938, the IAA now boasts a vast international network of more than 55 chapters, connecting experts across advertising, marketing, media, and technology to promote high professional standards and ethical creativity.

Frederik Borestrom, Global President and Chairman of the International Advertising Association, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, noting that Qatar's ambition and creative drive align perfectly with the IAA's global values. The launch occurs as Qatar's media and communications landscape experiences rapid growth, bolstered by top-tier digital infrastructure, mobile internet speeds, and prominent local institutions such as Al Jazeera and beIN Media Group.

The newly formed chapter will bridge global expertise with local market aspirations by fostering knowledge sharing, professional development, and collaboration between the public and private sectors. This initiative directly supports the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly in cultivating a thriving knowledge-based economy and empowering creative industries.

Mohammed Jassim Mohamed Ibrahim Jaidah, President of the IAA Qatar Chapter, emphasized that the platform will unite industry leaders under a single umbrella to elevate local talent and meet international benchmarks. The chapter's leadership board features a diverse group of experts including Hanan El Tabch, Emin Bawab, Antoine Geadah, Wassim AlDayah, Ziad Smayra, Mazen Abd Rabbo, Moustapha Mikaty, John Bassil, and Alain David.

Looking ahead, the IAA Qatar Chapter plans to roll out targeted workshops, specialized training, and industry dialogues to support the upcoming generation of creative professionals and further solidify Qatar's position as a premier communications hub in the region.
