Cheered on by a crowd of over 60,000 spectators in Jeddah, the Green Falcon claimed their first Arabian Gulf Cup title in 22 years, marking a historic win for the home favourites and delaying the UAE's pursuit of a third regional championship.

Taking to X to share his thoughts, President Sheikh Mohamed stated, "Sincere congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi people on winning the Arabian Gulf Cup." He added, "I also commend the high level of sportsmanship shown by both the Saudi and UAE teams during the final, and the successful organisation of the tournament."

More than 12,000 Emirati supporters made the journey to Saudi Arabia, backed by the UAE Football Association which chartered six aircraft to transport fans to King Abdullah Sport City Stadium for the anticipated final under new coach Zlatko Dalic.
