Solutions+, the business management services unit of Mubadala, contributed approximately Dh1.5 billion ($408.4 million) to Abu Dhabi's economy in 2025 and anticipates doubling that figure this year, according to its chief executive.

Speaking to The National on the sidelines of the AI Everything summit in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, Nasir Al Nabhani stated that the company has experienced a 53-fold growth since its inception as Mubadala Business Management Services in 2014. "We invested in people and technology, and we have grown significantly. We have healthy cash [flow and] healthy net profit, so we have a healthy organisation," he explained during the interview.

The privately held firm, which keeps its financials private, has surpassed its initial goal of becoming a billion-dollar company first announced in 2023, bolstered by an accelerated acquisitions strategy. Mr Al Nabhani previously noted that the company grew by about 20 per cent in 2022, exceeding its targets.

Solutions+ is currently executing a five-year growth plan launched during its 2023 rebranding. Over this period, the company has integrated seven businesses, with three additional acquisitions expected "very soon," Mr Al Nabhani said. "All the acquisitions that we have done in the last three years, based on the [five-year] strategy, will give us also another 100 per cent of growth."

Providing digital business services across sectors such as business process outsourcing, finance, procurement, facilities management, and environmental, social and governance, Solutions+ initially served only companies under Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala. Today, the company supports over 40 clients across aerospace, defence and security, health care, energy, ICT, mining, real estate and utilities, helping them save more than Dh300 million. Additionally, it manages around 500,000 billion square metres of real estate and has developed Weave, a software-as-a-service solution designed to streamline HR and enterprise management.

The company is also expanding its use of artificial intelligence. Mr Al Nabhani revealed that Solutions+ and its partners are testing new large language models and plan to introduce a new one by the first quarter of 2027. At the AI Everything summit, Solutions+ signed agreements with Tahaluf Al Emarat Technical Solutions to enhance AI collaboration and Saal.ai to speed up the adoption of enterprise data platform solutions, aligning with its local and international expansion goals. The company currently operates in countries including Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Pakistan, Tunisia and Uganda.

Meanwhile, Mubadala—whose $385 billion portfolio spans six continents across various asset classes—continues to expand its AI investments, having recently signed an agreement with the US company Together AI to explore infrastructure opportunities in the UAE.
