Flights at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh faced significant suspensions and ongoing delays following recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia. Data from Flightradar24 revealed that dozens of departures experienced major disruptions, impacting schedules well into Thursday morning.

Among the affected services were Saudia's flight SV311 to Cairo and Yemenia's flight IY533 to Aden, alongside cancellations for Saudia's flight SV562 to Dubai and Turkish Airlines' flight TK145 to Istanbul.

The disruptions stemmed from drone and missile strikes on King Khalid International Airport and Abha International Airport, which resulted in casualties and infrastructure damage, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation. Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the assaults.

In response to the escalating situation, the US embassy in Riyadh issued a warning regarding potential airspace closures and urged travelers to verify their flight statuses directly with airlines and airports.
