Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and registered users, has announced the official launch of bStocks for eligible users in the UAE. This major development marks another milestone in the company’s vision of evolving into a comprehensive financial super app.
The new offering expands Binance’s ecosystem beyond digital assets by giving users access to select US stocks through tokenised securities on a single platform. Designed to bridge traditional finance and blockchain technology, bStocks offer a flexible way for users to diversify their portfolios while taking advantage of blockchain-native capabilities.
Users in the UAE already have access to a wide variety of financial services on the platform, including crypto trading and earning products. The introduction of bStocks further supports Binance’s goal of uniting multiple financial opportunities into one seamless ecosystem, simplifying how users manage different asset classes.
Issued by BTech Holdings Limited, a Binance group affiliate, bStocks are tokenised securities created to mirror the price of select US stocks and ETFs. Each bStock tracks the price of a corresponding underlying share held with a regulated custodian. While they do not represent actual ownership of the underlying stocks, they combine traditional finance with blockchain technology to provide eligible users with simpler access to U.S. equity markets.
Key features of these securities include:
At launch, eligible users can access tokenised securities representing Circle Internet Group (CRCLB/USDT), Micron Technology (MUB/USDT), Nvidia (NVDAB/USDT), SanDisk (SNDKB/USDT), and Tesla (TSLAB/USDT). Additional bStocks are available on Binance and will be introduced progressively, pending applicable approvals.
Tarik Erk, head of MENAT, commented on the launch: “At Binance, we’re building much more than a cryptocurrency platform, we’re building a financial super app designed to give users seamless access to a growing range of financial opportunities through one trusted ecosystem. The launch of bStocks in the UAE marks another important step in that journey.”
He added: “By bringing tokenised US equities onto blockchain infrastructure, we’re making access to US equity markets more flexible and better aligned with how today’s digital-first users want to manage their finances. As we continue expanding our ecosystem, our focus remains on simplifying financial access while connecting traditional finance with the innovation of blockchain technology.”
* Prices outside traditional market hours may be especially volatile, and trading during these periods carries additional risk. bStocks are designed to track the price of the corresponding underlying asset, but are not guaranteed to reflect its real-time market price at all times.
