Qatari payment platform Dibsy has achieved a major milestone by becoming the nation's sole representative on Forbes Middle East’s prestigious Fintech 50 list for 2026. The company stands out among 18 newcomers in this year's rankings, which highlight top regional firms spanning digital payments, banking, investment, insurance, and lending.

Founded in 2020 by Ahmed Isse, Loyan Farah, and Anouar El Mekki, Dibsy operates as a vital payment infrastructure company. Its innovative services empower businesses to seamlessly accept both online and in-store transactions via digital checkouts, payment links, recurring billing systems, and physical terminals, while accommodating a wide array of local and international payment methods including cards and digital wallets.

Remarkable growth has fueled the company's rise. According to Forbes Middle East, Dibsy successfully processed nearly 11 million transactions in 2025. Furthermore, momentum accelerated into 2026, with first-quarter transaction counts surging by 49% and payment volumes jumping by 112% compared to the previous year. Adding to its regulatory milestones, the firm secured approval to join the Qatar Central Bank’s Open Banking Express Sandbox, facilitating expedited testing for cutting-edge financial technologies.

The annual Forbes Middle East ranking evaluates independent fintech enterprises based on crucial metrics such as transaction volume, active user base, geographic reach, market growth, innovation, consumer impact, funding success, and overall valuation. Dibsy secured the 50th position overall on a list topped by Saudi shopping and financial services platform Tabby, Egyptian digital payments provider Fawry, and lending platform MNT Halan, reflecting a regional fintech landscape heavily driven by payment solutions.
