Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture Abdel Aziz Qonsowa engaged in a series of strategic bilateral discussions with delegations from Malaysia, China, and Pakistan during the 225th session of the UNESCO Executive Board in Paris. The talks centered on broadening collaboration across higher education, scientific research, and technological training.

In his meeting with Malaysian Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, Abdel Aziz Qonsowa explored ways to deepen educational cooperation, exchange expertise in system development, and bolster student exchange initiatives. Discussions with China’s Vice Minister of Education Ren Youqun focused on forging stronger alliances between Egyptian and Chinese universities, with a particular emphasis on technological education and applied scientific research tailored to industrial and community demands.

Furthermore, talks with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Advisor Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah addressed the enhancement of academic connections, the promotion of Pakistani student enrollment in Egyptian universities, and the expansion of scholarships in critical fields such as medicine, engineering, water science, and climate studies. Both sides also evaluated cooperation in vocational training and mutual coordination regarding educational and cultural matters within UNESCO.

These diplomatic engagements form a core component of Egypt's wider initiative to cultivate international academic partnerships, encourage student mobility, and elevate the global standing of its higher education and research institutions.
