The 260th convoy of humanitarian aid trucks, titled “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza,” set out on Wednesday from the Rafah Border Checkpoint. The convoy is heading toward the Karem Abu Salem crossing to prepare for delivering essential aid to Palestinians residing in the Gaza Strip.
Departing through the side gate of the Rafah Border Checkpoint, the trucks had assembled early Wednesday morning in the outer yard of the border terminal. These vehicles are transporting critical food and humanitarian supplies designated for individuals impacted by the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
According to a source from the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the convoy carries substantial quantities of food and relief supplies. The cargo includes food parcels, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned food, medicines, personal care items, tents, clothing, and fuel.
Furthermore, the source noted that approximately 58,000 aid trucks, transporting over one million tons of humanitarian and relief supplies, have been dispatched to the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war. These vital deliveries have also featured ambulances and fuel trucks, bolstered by the dedicated efforts of roughly 75,000 ERC volunteers.
