Dubai Parks and Resorts has officially reopened following a closure of more than six months, introducing fresh attractions at Riverland, dynamic live shows at Motiongate Dubai, and the comeback of dinosaur-themed glamping. Visitors returned on October 7 to Motiongate Dubai, Real Madrid World, Legoland Dubai Resort, and The World of Riverland.

Fernando Eiroa, chief executive of operator Dubai Holding Entertainment, explained that seasonal preparations begin by listening to visitors. Feedback gathered at the end of each season helps guide choices regarding rides, live entertainment, and dining options.

New Attractions at Riverland

Riverland, the destination’s dedicated dining and entertainment district, now features 14 attractions. Among the new additions are bowling alleys and Lamborghini racing simulators, where guests can test their driving skills on virtual tracks. Additional joint activities include go-karting, archery, axe-throwing, and mini golf.

Motiongate Dubai is enhancing its lineup with brand-new shows alongside its established Hollywood-inspired rides. Meanwhile, at Real Madrid World, guests can test their football skills, take penalty kicks, play basketball, and compete against friends and other visitors.

Dinosaur-Themed Stays Return

T-Rex Glamping, which made its debut last year, is returning for the new season. This campsite merges themed tents with animatronic dinosaurs, featuring moving tails, lifelike eyes, and realistic calls to complete the prehistoric environment. Eiroa noted that the experience extends beyond a standard day at the parks by making the accommodation itself part of the entertainment.

The company is also updating concerts, restaurants, and cultural offerings at Global Village ahead of its upcoming season.

Dubai's Growing Appeal as an Entertainment Destination

Eiroa highlighted that Dubai's reputation for theme parks and entertainment has expanded significantly over the past five or six years, complementing its established offerings in hotels, restaurants, and hospitality. He drew comparisons to major entertainment hubs like Orlando and Los Angeles, where multiple theme parks operate together. This ongoing expansion in Dubai and Abu Dhabi gives international travelers more reasons to visit the UAE.

UAE residents continue to represent a vital segment of the business, although the mix of domestic and international visitors varies across the group's properties. Through its Truly Amazing campaign, Dubai Holding Entertainment is unifying attractions such as Global Village, Dubai Parks and Resorts, The Green Planet, Roxy Cinemas, and The View at The Palm, enabling visitors to easily combine multiple destinations into a single trip.
