His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a significant portfolio of active projects in the emirate valued at Dh2.1 trillion. These extensive undertakings encompass key sectors including housing, transport, aviation, and infrastructure.

Addressing the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Sheikh Mohammed articulated Dubai's vision, stating the emirate was "building a city within a city," with further project announcements anticipated. The annual forum convened 1,000 leaders from both government and private sectors, alongside experts, decision-makers, and academics.

"Our momentum is continuous and our achievements are ongoing. This is a remarkable period for growth and development; the ideal time to invest in Dubai and its infrastructure," Sheikh Mohammed remarked. He emphasized the emirate's substantial investments in housing, transport, and infrastructure, designed to propel a new phase of economic expansion.

"Cities that aspire for progress act before others," he added, advocating for leaders capable of transforming ideas into concrete results. The Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects stand at the Dubai Airports Show highlighted the emirate's commitment to aviation advancements.

The comprehensive project list includes Dh1.1 trillion earmarked for real estate development through 2030, projecting approximately 350,000 new residential units. Aviation investments are also substantial, with Dh128 billion allocated for Al Maktoum International Airport, engineered to accommodate up to 260 million passengers annually. Furthermore, Dh328 billion will fund the expansion of Emirates and flydubai fleets, while Dh18.7 billion is designated for a new Emirates engineering and maintenance complex.

Infrastructure spending features Dh100 billion for road enhancements and the expansion of the Dubai Metro's Blue and Gold lines. Additionally, Dh151 billion will be invested in new power and water grid infrastructure, and Dh80 billion is allocated for the Dubai Strategic Sewerage Tunnels system. A further Dh100 billion has been reserved for the development of Phase 2 of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
